Howard Isaacson | Blue Skies

Howard Isaacson - Blue Skies

Howard Isaacson | Blue Skies
By Marv D

Blue Skies in the newest effort from Howard Isaacson. This multi-instrumentalist plays drums, sax, keyboards and flute. Mr. Isaacson has contributed music for commercials, and the Bose Corporation, he also holds a Masters Degree in jazz studies from the College of New Jersey.

Exciting is the way I describe this CD. Once you listen to it, that’s how you will feel. From the first song “Kickin Back” , which is a nice smooth mid-tempo song played with a laid back style, to the funk styling of “Desert Sun”. Other mid-tempo songs are “Special Delivery”, “Beaches”, “Block Party”, & “Blue Skies.”

Howard likes to slow things down a bit, with songs like “First Snow,” “Summers Past,” and “Getting Closer.” Then he funks it up a little bit with “Street Smart” (don’t let the beginning fool you, the song is funky), “Block Party” & the cover of Earth, Wind and Fire’s – “Fantasy” in which Howard takes you on a fantasy ride with his sax playing, And this song is arranged beautifully.

Like I stated before, this cd is exciting! This is your everyday CD: From the car, to the office, to home.

This project will make you feel so good, that you should make sure to pick it up.
