A Record Reflection by A. Scott Galloway

When it comes to songbird Shanice’s sassy new single “He Won’t,” it sounds like our angel with the winning smile is dipping into sexier, steamier territory. In this percussive production from Jovan Dawkins, she is testifying – on and on `til the break of dawn – about how her man is not letting her get any sleep…and she don’t mind. “Whatever he likes / I’ll give it to him, baby / Whatever he needs / Ooo, I got it!” The sunniness of the groove and the subject matter of the lyric inspires a gleeful performance from our girl, handling stinging leads and layered homegirl chorus backgrounds. All this hotness is hopefully leading to a hot new EP or full album just in time to make summer just a little bit mo’ sweat soaked.
