Meli’sa Morgan – I Remember

Oh….Ms. Morgan! Welcome Back!

Its been so long to hear you grace some fine material
with your stunning vocal range! Where have you been?

Ever since Meli’sa Morgan laced the ultimate slow jam of
the ’80’s “Do Me Baby”, penned by Prince, she had left an impression
of vocal prowess not felt since the majority of Female R&B vocalists
like Stephanie Mills, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, etc..last gave us. And
with this project released in 2005, Ms. Morgan gave us another look at love
‘Over The Rainbow’ in colors of seduction, Making Love, & Poetry in motion
– a time when loving someone meant singing it out loud & clear.

“I Remember…” has melodies of slow & upbeat
rhythms, along with reminisce, of sounds from the 80’s/’90’s of Old School
R&B. Released from Orpheus, home of some great R&B projects from the
likes of Freddie Jackson & more, comes a highly suggestive offering more
appealing to the couples, or even the ones who fully appreciate an ambiance of
yesterday!!

Hearing Meli’sa sing the way she does throughout the album
resonates the need to go back & re-listen to her entire discography one
more time! The lady can sing her tail off, believe me when I say that!

From the interludes – to the compositions, I would only encourage a good listen. I would also, highly encourage Ms. Morgan to please come back someday to bless us with her voice once again …. down the road!
