Tank | Sex, Love & Pain

Tank
Sex, Love & Pain

Since He released ‘One Man’, in 2002….We wondered what happened to the cat with an aggressive approach to love R&B. Tank reappears with possibly his best release ever in Sex, Love & Pain.

No doubt, this CD is Bangin!….Uh, Uh…Its ‘Tight’ to be exquisite, because not only the production ranks up there with Bobby V., Joe & R. Kelly….The Subject Matter hits home!

The title for this project creates another open door discussion of what really goes on within the heart of an African-American/Black man reaching within himself to discover what he is REALLY all about. What sets him off for the positive or the negative. What are we supposed to do! Ya’ll betta let Brotha Tank demonstrate:

The opening track is no joke…It sets you up, entilted “Coldest“. The rest will beg you mercy for a happy hour glass of wine!

Track #3, “My Body” sounds like something R. Kelly should’ve, but didn’t. Tank & the groove to that joint, lit candles up in the master bedroom!; “Heartbreaker” is a sleeper, but quickly becoming the jam for the moment…; “Who Dat” follows right up to the last predessor…straight slow flow – head noddin’!; “When” does the same & reminds you of his ability to give a crooning special delight for a slow jam; “Wedding Song” is the JAM!!; The remix from production mastermind Timberland on “I Love Them Girls” finishes the job….Straight Up…No Chaser!

It seems like original R&B might be making a comeback with compositions & projects like this. Content is the premise these days for fine sounds & replayable favorites. This CD is a must have & if you do not lift this one from the shelf or snatch it from iTunes, you might catch yourself going to sleep on it…..

The next time….
