Terence Blanchard – A Tale Of God’s Will

Unspeakable.

The quest for pure jazz music will be challenged in listening to possibly one of the best standards from Mr. Terence Blanchard in years….

For when he placed the pen to the paper in composing the melodies & structural compositions found on this project, he placed the city of New Orleans on his back & took them for a ride.

Terence mesmerizes the jazz listener. In taste, the chance to sit down & play the whole CD back was definitely an honor. Because the backdrop from every track takes you up front & personal to scenes after scenes, pictures after pictures, thoughts after thoughts of the catastrophe Hurricane Katrina placed on the areas it touched.

It will take you back to Spike Lee’s masterpiece on HBO. It will drive you from the East & West coast right down to the riverbanks of Louisiana. It will make you light candles in the living room for dedicative purposes. It will drop you to your knees & pray…
