Trey Songz – Trey Day
A young gifted singer in Trey Songz should bring a better effort for his sophomore release in “Trey Day”. However, it didn’t shift my focus from the 1st.
I can remember the video as to which he was getting his haircut in the Barbershop & the late Gerald Levert stepped in … & the rest was history. Those tracks carried some hits on BET & in the hearts of young sweethearts from around the globe. But what about those who grew from that? And what about him?

Same beats. Same lyrics. No vocal prowess.
We need more young men like him (& young ladies) to step up to the plate & generate the traditional R&B vocal sound the way it supposed to be. For a minute, I was bangin’ a couple of tracks like….. (You know) to a later groove. But I ended up recessing to the 1st CD, for it sounded the same in continuation.
I’m getting a little tired of hearing too much production & not enough vocal quality. Trey has a tender voice & needs a little bit more experience to help polish it. The tracks I heard should allow for him to be at the front of the music, not behind it. But I’m sure he’ll have another chance.
The younger generation seems to accept this style of music, so to each their own. But for myself, I ‘Can’t Help But Wait’ for Trey to show us a different direction.
