Satya Project | Shine A Light

The Satya Project produced by M Sainz and J. Galiardo reminded me of the Change producers Jacques Fred Petrus, and Mauro Malavasi, recording in a different countries. Their project is called, “Shine A Light”.

And using a variety of artists to release a very well produced, soulful cd, that you can just groove to or can be played in your local jazz café, in a laidback atmosphere.

Jazz artist Mark Whitfield, Soul singer Kellie Sae, and the City of Praque Philharmonic make special guest appearances on this cd.

Most of the songs are mid-tempo with two up beat songs. Songs like “Stranger Here”, “Karma Wheel”, “Dearest Sun”, “Bora’s Bounce”, “A New Paradise”, “Nothing Gets Me Down”, “The Sweetest Of You, & “Truth And Love”, are sung with a light and breezy vocals – which enhances the musical aspect of it.

Then slows it down a bit with “Pond’s Life”, “Shine A Light” and “Sarva Shaam”. The groove picks up with “Durians Groove” and it is a groove with an old school feel to it. “On The Phone” is more in the acid jazz realm and made for the club.

This is a wonderful cd to listen to, and I enjoyed listening to it while driving around town. I hope to hear more from this group in the near future. To hear more from this group, Go to www.cdbaby.com, & www.satyaproject.com.
