Damon Rentie | DAY – AHH

Damon Rentie – DAY-AHH

What a way to start your day. I first listened to Damon Rentie “DAY-AHH” cd driving on my way to work, diving thru the scenic Tennessee country side. What amazed me was the first selection, “DAY-AHH”: at that moment I knew that The Lord blessed me with a fantastic day! The sweet soprano saxophone and the vocals of Melique Berger-Rentie (Damon’s better half) on this track is a warm aphrodisiac. Track two “Love Serenade” must have been written near Valentine’s Day or Damon had the day in mind. I will definitely have that track in rotation on the next ‘Mellow Madness Valentine’ radio show. For a moment, listening to track three “Eyes”, I could have swore I was listening to the group Shakatak (Melique’s sultry siren voice is so intoxicating).

I love it when an artist covers a Stevie Wonder song and it’s done right. “Visions” is a song that flows right through you. I am pleased that Damon chose the classic. Again you get a combination of Damon and Melique in “Lovin’ You”. I like the aura they both release. There is always a good Sunday drive selection on a happening cd and that selection is “Rudy’s Blues” (written for Damon’s father). There are nine tracks on this cd that will make your day, so help the brother out: add this cd to your collection.
