The gorgeous Tia Fuller is on the scene from after blazing the roads playing sax for the world renowned diva, Beyonce. This time around she stops to chill for a minute & deliver us “Decisive Steps,” a compelling 10 track set of riveting Jazz morsels centered around an appealing cast of ‘who’s who’ in jazz: Christian McBride, Sean Jones, Warren Wolf, Maurice Chestnut, Miriam Sullivan, Kim Thompson & Shamie Royston.

This recording examines the spectrum of Be-Bop jazz, with a flirtation of Gospel, R&B & Blues music mixing around in most of the compositions drawn. Tia stretched out the saxophone & vibrantly explored regions of jazz music unlike any recording delivered so far this year. And some of you players thought since Ms. Fuller was going to drift us into some sort of Neo-Soul music or something like that after jamming on stage with Beyonce in her all-female band.

Expect something more adventurous, perfected & quite essentially dynamic.
