Paul Taylor | Ladies Choice

The sensuous saxophonist Paul Taylor is back at it with his fourth release with Peak Records. This masterpiece is titled ‘Ladies’ Choice’; creating his most soulful instrumental tracks ever, mixing it up with three of today’s most acclaimed female R&B vocalists-Regina Belle, Latoya London and Terry Dexter, including Lauren Evans.

I am impressed with the mix of melodies on this one, Taylor pulls of the hat trick by mixing a balanced recipe of vocals with his incredible sax play without diluting either one. My favorite grooves on this one is Track #5, “Streamline” in which Paul handles all by himself, and the beautiful Track #7, “Summers End“.

Taylor has managed to mix his soulful melodies with the vocals of his choice ladies to create an urban contemporary flavor!

The title “Ladies Choice” was inspired by a special event that took place in the club scene in the 70’s.  The DJ would stop the music, and get on the mic to dedicate the next song to be “Ladies Choice.” This was the opportunity for the ladies to grab the man of their choice for the next dance.  So Ladies …. it’s time to grab that man and hit the floor, or just curl up in front of the fireplace! Paul definitely brought a smorgasboard of vibes on this one.
