Phil Perry | A Mighty Love

Mr. Perry returns to the stage in full grace to add ‘grace’ to some more songs from yesterday! In similar fashion to his last approach with Shanachie entitled “A Mighty Love”. Without a doubt, you’re going to be in for a real treat! Mostly for the indulgence of appreciating an Old School singing sensation drop vocal connections with ease!!

From “Just To See Her” to “Wildflower”, he adds flavor with ingredients! Not a surprise from a man who takes his work very seriously & doesn’t mess around with the mic. If you haven’t grabbed the opportunity to see this cat live – you missed it! Nah, Its too late! You’re in trouble now…Ha! Uh, uh….I’m just kiddin’! He’ll be on tour soon, word has it, so catch him when he is nearest you!

If he is not near to be seen, then don’t sleepwalk on this one!

The selections seem to go back much further from ‘the day’ (70’s), in terms of the songs that is. “Deja Vu” was wonderfully done; next to “Everything Must Change”. There was a cut however that I thought should’ve been on the sidelines. Only for the simple reason of it being covered so many times from various artists in the mainstream. That song? – “The World Is A Ghetto” (How many times people do you think that song has been covered overall? Trivia question coming soon!). No matter what, justice was still served.

Producer, instrumentalist Chris “Big Dog” Davis seems to still be in the ‘lab’ (studio), working out those tight remixed compositions, staying consistent. I’ve digged that cat from day one with Shanachie & would only encourage him to pace the melodies to more original compositions. I would love to see him drop an entire project with nothing more than his own music, not the originals.

Rohn Lawrence, Wayne Bruce, Kim Waters, Randy Bowland, Dave Mann & Timmy Maia helped to contribute to another set of fire pit, romantic interludes before & after the wine is poured!

Was this better than the last one? I’m going to hold my thoughts, because overall just to hear Phils’ voice is good enough for me…..

……& hopefully for you. Tell us what you think!
