Fantasia – Fantasia

(Here’s a recurrent released last year feat T.U.M.S. writer Charles F. Sherard

American Idol sends a real singer side of their sitcom out of Fantasia Barrino. Its funny I say that because this current slice of hopefuls & recent winners are quite forgotten. Not Fantasia & Ruben Studdard. I’ll start with Fantasia for now.

Here, the mixes brings new R&B with the old. Some beats sound old school, but its not all the way there. Maybe in the way she breathes her vocals to ’em, but not like the many new urban stuff I’ve heard. I’m not knockin’ the entire album, but the better part, it is a little better than her first. And she didn’t lack the tracks. (count)

Track Listing:
~ Hood Boy (feat Big Boi from Outkast)
~ When I See U
~ I Nominate U
~ Baby Makin’ Hips
~ Not The Way That I Do
~ Only One U
~ I Feel Beautiful
~ I’m Not That Type
~ Ineligible
~ Two Weeks Notice
~ Surround U
~ Bore Me (Yawn)
~ Sunshine
~ Bump What Ya Friends Say

I like ‘Two Weeks Notice’. ‘When I See U’ sounds like a Neyo cut. Fantasia flowed with it. ‘I Nominate U’ is another effort I started to like as well. The rest of the CD is concurrent with this Urban R&B movement. The problem will only be if they have staying power. Staying power that can make you put this stuff back on & play it all the way through. I’ll just have to wait & see.

I can say overall is for everyone to get a sample of tracks to listen to first before you buy it to make sure. Like I said before, its slightly better, but I’m waiting for some ‘uh’ in her tracks.
