Rob White – Let It Ride

Well crafted, engineered and balanced “Let It Ride” is Dallas, Texas native Rob White’s inaugural CD (2006 release). A master of the alto, soprano and tenor saxophone, this CD grew on me very quickly and is 11 tracks deep! Rob White paid his dues on the Indianapolis Indiana cool jazz scene and his style has been compared to noted contemporary saxophonists Boney James, Gerald Albright and David Sanborn, and you’ll definitely hear a little Najee the comparison’s are regarded a compliment. He is carving his own Niche.

Relax and relieve a little stress while Rob White imposes upon more than one of your senses. “Let It Ride” is a distinct blend of both uptempo rhythms and romantic ballads. Listen to the engine growl as you decelerate and negotiate into the apex on your favorite backstretch..and well “Let It Ride”. Get to 2 steppin to the funky cut track number 6 “Summer Groovin” or slow it down on track number 8 my favorite which pays tribute to the late and legendary balladeer Luther Vandross “A House Is Not A Home”.

Start to finish you can’t go wrong! Unfasten your Brietling and set it aside because time is of no concern for the next hour. Light the barbecue grille, start the crab boil or get the clam bake going, and adjust your levels because you are going to chill to this…
