Shante Hunt – Be Like You

All the way from Cincinnati, Ohio, Shante Hunt shines on her debut CD “Be Like You” a different kind of project which showcases Shante’s diverse influences from R&B to Country. But with a Gospel edge, and Shante is also the executive producer of this wonderful, refreshing cd.

Track Listing:
~ Letting Go
~ Be Like You
~ Amazing
~ The Storm
~ Don’t Settle For Less
~ Free
~ Fly Away

Shante is a strong-voiced singer with a very positive feel! The overall vibe is much more in a righteous modern soul style and is nicely laidback at times. In the title song “Be Like You”, Shante’s vocals just stirs the souls in this R&B influenced song. I really like the song “Letting Go” because Shante really showcases her vocal range with just a bit of acoustic guitar nestled in between the beats and keys to warm things up. Her vocals are proud and full and she has this easy going vibe on the song “Fly Away” with spoken word by guest Lady J.

Other songs on the cd are “Amazing”, “Free”, “Don’t Settle For Less”, & “The Storm”. This CD has a sound that is never dull. It is full and bright and there is a message in every song. It moves on a pace that is confident, but not too loose and will keep your head nodding!
