Jon Shockness aka ‘Artizst’

Right now The Denver School of the Arts must be the next hotbed of talent to come out Denver, Colorado.
This next artist, who is compared to Omarion, and Marques Houston, is certain to bring R&B to a level that has been slacking for a while.

Jon Shockness aka Artizst was first heard on the Boys and Girls club CD production of “Words Can Heal”, in which he sang the title track. Artizst, who has been singing since the age of 5, and when he was 9 he wrote his first song (“Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep (The Childrens Prayer)”, and then the following year it was produced into a cd and music video.

In his career, he has also been heard in a number of Colorado hotspots (Soiled Dove, Mercury Café, Dazzle and the Prestigious, Boettcher Concert Hall, and The Pepsi Center), and has performed in such country’s has Puerto Rico and Barbados.

Currently as a High School student, he played the lead role in Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA. Artizst is currently a member of the hip/hop group A-Club and a member of the band Whymzical Notations. Artizst hopes to sign a major record deal next year.

Oh did I mention that he is only seventeen?

Artizst debut solo project boasts 5 sensuous songs, a little heavy on the bass though, but very good for a debut and I do expect more from him in the future.
