The Jeannette Harris Band – Reflections

LISTEN TO A SONG SAMPLE OF “NIGHT JAM” FROM THE REFLECTIONS ALBUM!!

She was born the year I graduated high school, and by the time she was 5, she was playing guitar in church, And 4 years later she was playing sax, and then graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She has opened for The Rippingtons, Eric Marienthal, Kirk Whalum, & Phil Perry just to name a few. Of all the other female sax players out there, Jeanette who has been under the radar for such a long time, has carved her own niche and her own groove and has already proven to the jazz world what she can do domestically and internationally. Jeanette along with brother Michael and cousin Patrick have put Fresno, California on the jazz map.

Reflections is the latest effort from The Jeanette Harris Band and let me tell you: You will be amazed by the fire a
nd passion that she puts out of that sax!

The versatility and intensity that Jeanette displays on her up-tempo songs are “The One”, “Jay’s Day”, and a cover of Michael Jackson’s “P.Y.T” (Pretty Young Thing) where Patrick give that
bass a workout. Jeanette slows it down to a sensual passionate style on “Night Jam”, “Waiting”, “Reflections”, “The Lords Prayer”, “Can’t You Tell”
(Featuring Gail Johnson) and a very moving cover of Gerald Levert’s Song “Baby Hold On To Me”.

This cd is just awesome, and must be added to your collection. You can find Jeanette’s cd at www.cdbaby.com, or apple itunes.
