Helen Rogers – Eyes Like Midnight

You’ve known her as the voice of the Paul Hardcastle’s Jazzmasters. Now she has struck out on her own. Helen Rogers, along with co-writer Tony Qunta, have come up with a Latin flavored groove. And even though it’s a four-song EP, it’ll tell you what’s to come next when the full-length CD is released.

Put yourself in the mood of a little town in Spain, and it’s a celebration of a marriage, and Helen is singing in the town square surrounded by the town’s people.

“Eyes Like Midnight” is a nice slow groove, with Helen’s light and airy voice gliding over a violin, guitar, and cello, giving the song a romantic feel. “The First Time” is a jazz flavored mid-tempo song that is very
laid back and Helen’s voice just cascades; “My Eternal Love”, (and special remix) is a dance track that should do well in the club. Helen’s voice is just perfect for this type of composition.

If your looking for comparisons to her earlier work, forget it. Helen is going in a different direction, with her own style, her own way, and she has stepped into the spotlight that will shine brightly for years to
come.

You can find this four-song ep for song samples & purchase at CDBaby!
