Nude Continuum – Nighclub Of The Nudist

Ok, I want everybody to get a mixing bowl and follow directions: Open the package of groove and pour in some Jamiroquai and Brand New Heavies and add one cup of funk, mix and pour unto the dance floor and dance at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.  Once off the floor, let the rhythm cool you down a bit and spread some Incognito and sprinkle some Reel People and what do you have? “Nude Continuum”!

“Nightclub Of The Nudist” has 14 delicious tracks to choose from to keep your party going with a tasty jazz flavor.  The group comprised of James Higgins (writer, producer, engineer and multi-instrumentalist) and Princess Freesia (vocalist, lyricist, songwriter and all around hottie) coming to you straight out of Australia, have managed and succeeded to keep the jazz/funk tradition alive.  This CD reminded me so much of the Reel People CD, that the more you listen to it, the better it got!

With tracks “People We Should Try”, “The Angel Is A Animal”, “Get Naked”, “Gimme A Sign”, “Fly”, “Mistake”, “Sleeping With Yourself”, “Brazilian Breeze”, “Daedalus”, “Together”, “Don’t Stop The Beat”, and three bonus tracks.

James did all of the music for the project with help from Derrick Mackenzie (drummer) from Jamiroquai and Katisse Buckingham (saxes and flutes) from  United States and the light, airy, soulful, powerful, clear and concise voice of Princess Freesia, which compliments each song.

My favorite track is “Daedalus”, and for those who know their Greek mythology, you know the outcome. But the song is written in such a way that only the love shines through.

This cd embodies the classic acid jazz formula from the likes of Incognito, Jamiroquai, with the grooves of Reel People and Brand New Heavies, but influenced by Old School artists like Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind and Fire, & Roy Ayers. All into one delightful package. And like I said before, the American beat is fine, but the European beat has a undeniable groove to it that can’t be duplicated.

Please pick up this cd for your collection. You won’t be disappointed.  Also check out “Nude Continuum” video below doing “Don’t Stop The Beat” live!

The purchase may be made by drifting by CDBaby &/or song samples.
