Trebeka – Willow Weep For Me

LISTEN TO A SONG SAMPLE OF “WILLOW WEEP FOR ME” FROM THE WILLOW WEEP FOR ME ALBUM!!

In a small club in New York, something extraordinary is about to happen. Something New York has never heard before. The elegant, jazzy, sultry voice of Trebeka, backed by the incomparable sound of the Cassandra Wilson band.

Trebeka, was born and raised into a multi-ethnic, multi-talented family who was immersed in music at a young age. Trebeka came to prominence at the age of 18 and toured Paris with her own ensemble, singing at festivals & jazz clubs, she enjoyed a five month spell as a resident singer at the Luxury Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai.

The lights dim and Trebeka starts to sing the first of 9 songs that will make history:

“Honeysuckle Rose” is sung with such vibrant emotion, her voice is clear and concise.

“Garota De Ipanema” and “Corcovado”, both written by the late great Antonio Carlos Jobim, are sung with passion with the first interpreted in native language.

“Fever” will have you in a trance – in the way she sings this mesmerizing song.

“Malaika” is a African flavored song that will have you moving in your seat.

“Night and day” written by Cole Porter, is sung with pure sensuality.

“Someday My Prince Will Come” is a smoldering torch song.

“Willow Weep For Me” is sung with heart wrenching passion and is also dedicated to her friend Barbara F. Rodriguez.

Trebeka is executive producer of this fine CD and produced by the Grammy Award Winner Lonnie Plaxico, a musician known for is work with Cassandra Wilson, Jack Dejohnette and Art Blakey.

Jazz has come a long way from the little smoky clubs in New York and around the world where 4 piece bands were prominent for the time period. Trebeka and Lonnie have transported you to a time where mainstream jazz was a way of life. So sit back, relax and enjoy the vocal styling of Trebeka

This project can be found on CDBaby!
