Razzberry – Be Yourself

Her name is Razzberry and she can be heard all over the world from Europe to Asia and back to her hometown of Cincinnati. She can be heard on the Playstation 2 game (Smash Court Tennis Pro Tournament); also on the Nike commercial featuring Lebron James and the Late Great Bernie Mac. She has performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Reggie Calloway (formerly of Midnight Star), and she is a CULAN Flowers award winner. Razzberry has established herself as a singer/songwriter/performer with Slave, The Deele, and Bootsy Collins, and shared the stage with Brian McKnight and John Blackwell (drummer for prince and Justin Timberlake).

All songs were written by Razzberry and Nate White; all music was written by Nate White of the 70’s group Ramp (Roy Ayers music productions). Razzberry releases the funk with club bangers like “Take Me”, “Off The Chain”, “Friday Night”, “You Want It”, “Be Yourself”, “I Can’t Do Without You (lude)” Featuring “Nate White”.

Then the R&B side comes out on songs like “At Times”, “My Favorite Song”, and then the soul side “Closer”, “Come To Me”, “Can’t Call”, & “I’m Sure”…which has a hint of Quincy Jones’ Secret Garden flowing through it. I must give kudos to Nate White for not over-producing this excellent project, and not letting Razzberry go over vocal range.

I love the way this cd sounds. And if you’re into some real funk, r&b and soul all on one cd, then this is it. It amazes me that Razzberry is not a major force here in the U.S. With vocal sirens like Rhianna, Keyshia Cole, and others who are good singers in their own right. Razzberry should have been a major star a long time ago.

You can find Razzberry’s cd at www.cdbaby.com, www.amazon.com, www.itunes.com and other major outlets.

Razzberry is planning a national/international tour, and if she’s appearing in your city make sure you go check her out.
