Romina Johnson – Soul River

She has been in the European music scene for years. She was once lead singer for the group D-Influence, has lent her vocals to a variety of compilations, & stayed true to the foundation of soul and the European beat.

Her third CD is a testament of hard work from over the years, to come full circle.

Ladies and Gentlemen: I introduce you to Romina Johnson. The debut cd titled “Soul River” is just that – soul that flows like a river cascading in different sounds that will mesmerize you in so many ways.

The first song will give you a idea of what the rest of the cd sounds like, and I guarantee you will be playing this cd day in and day out (like I’m doing now).

“Soul River” ~ This intro will give you an idea of what the cd is like.

“As Good As It This” ~ Solid euro-urban beat. Romina sing this effortlessly.

“What Can I Do” ~ This international hit is Romina’s break-out song, Solid beat, light bass-line, honey-dripping vocals flow over a not to complexed melody.

“Boogie”
~ Romina got her 80’s style groove on, with this track.

“Got Me Tripping”, “So Bad”, “Do You”, “You”, “Speak My Mind”, “Hold On To You”, & “Love Keep On Running” is the vein of neo-soul, and on each song you can hear different textures of vocal ability that Romina Possesses.

“Soul River” (instrumental) is a nice but short jazzy version, wish it was a little longer.

“Boogie” ~ The remix is a house beat, leaning toward the acid jazz style from a few years back.

Rominas’ voice sounds like it was dipped in honey, because it just surrounds you in everyway. The next time you have a saturday night get together, this cd will get the party started.
