Now, KJ Rose’s voice has a very deep textured, soulful afterglow in most of the music she presents to the inner circle of soul music lovers. Her 13 track collection, “All Heart, No Regrets”, sent me to immediate appreciation of R&B music she had to offer. Thought provocative lyrics accompanied by a stretch of flavorful soul melodies locks in the taste this CD was designed to represent. After traveling far & abroad to lend a helping hand to a slew of popular artists in the music game, it is about time for KJ to break free and show the public what her vocal skills is all about.

All Tracks were written & arranged by KJ Rose, with assistance from No I.D., Jax, Harvey Allbangers, Andy C., Jordan Battiste, Bastiany, Che C. Smith, Linda Womack, & Jermaine Mobley.

Track Listing:

~ Top Of The World
~ No One Gets The Prize (feat. Jax)
~ Please Stay
~ More To Life
~ A Better Way
~ Another You
~ I Got It (Something You Want)
~ Gotcha Back (Feat Ryhmefest & Jax)
~ Trained You For Her
~ Robbed (Of My Happy Ending)
~ Unselfish
~ Awakened
~ Baby I’m Scared Of You (Feat. Yaw)

The musical mix kicks into high gear with the start of “Top Of The World”, infused with an old school soul production prototype & caressed with the vibrant vocality Ms. Rose is set to sparkle on the disc.; “Please Stay” keeps the mid-tempo, rhythmic, love influenced composition in check – addressing the track with lyrics promoting affection & commitment. “More To Life” chills the CD out for a slight minute, ushering in a much slower pace & highlighting the talent behind KJ’s soft & settled voice.

The single currently under rotation, “A Better Way” compliments itself with the name of the title pretty much summing up the intent of the storyline in the lyrics.; The heartwarming “Another You“, upbeat “I Got You (Something You Want)” & relationship minded “Trained You For Her” openly expresses KJ’s desire to mount & swoon a few thoughts or ideas into the minds of her listeners about relationships & emotional desires.

To keep the CD’s versatility intact….a couple of hip, polished, edgier tracks flowed as well: “No One Get The Prize” & “Gotcha Back” – both feat Jax on the rapper’s flow of the microphone, embracing a deeper urban R&B flavor on top of the softer, more mellower cuts featured on the disc.

The remainder of the project was at ease, soul stirring & rightfully a great introduction into the skills KJ Rose possesses.

This very mellow project is recommended for the more slow flowing R&B listener. Although there were many songs coming strong for the upbeat, spicier, head bobbin’ crowd, the overall appeal I felt the disc represented was for the affection & promotion of love, a tender word or two for the mind & hearts of the listeners everywhere seeking encouragement & a moment to embrace the complete debut package KJ Rose has to offer to the R&B/Soul world. All of course by opinion.

Take some time & look into this one, folks.
