Andre’ Lee – Straight From The Heart

When I found out this artist was with the group “Freedom”, you just do not know how many boxes I went through to find that big black cd with grooves in it (12 inch vinyl) with the song “Come on and dance” and for you old schoolers that was the jam back in 1980/1981.  Andre Lee has moved on since his days with “Freedom” and released his fifth cd titled “Straight From The Heart” a collection of songs that will sure make you sing and dance.

Since I have been in Texas, I have come across a lot of different styles of music r&b, rap, hip/hop, pop. Rock and roll, Spanish music, and the newest groove to hit my ear Zydeco, and this southern style of r&b.

For those who like Mel Waiters and classic Marvin Sease, then this cd is for you.

Andre’ sings with heart and soul on the mid-tempo to slow grooves, “Too Late”, “Let’s Get Romantic”, “I’ll Do Whatever”, & “Southern Soul Man”.

On the song “Those Were The Days”, this will bring back memories. Andre’ is talking about cornbread and collard greens, and butterbeans, can’t get any better than that.

The Groove songs are “I Found What I Been Looking For”, “Groove On”, “Love Will Never Change”, “Don’t Believe A Dam Word”, & “One Night Stand”. And for you steppers, Andre’ gets his stepping groove on with “Gonna Go Stepping”.

I’ve been playing this cd all over the place and the ladies at work (35 and older) have been bugging me for a copy of this cd, it’s their kind of music.

I really enjoyed this cd, from beginning to end, and I hope you will to.
