Galaxy Lounge – Welcome To The Party

Galaxy Lounge
, “Welcome To The Party” is the latest project from New York composer Jon Grindstaff, that has the right groove to get you to your late night eatery or after party without making you break a sweat and arriving in style. Lounge music as been around for at least 15 years, it was part of the acid jazz movement which has somewhat subsided in the U.S. but still prevalent in New York, Miami, L.A., you can mostly hear lounge music in clubs before the party really gets started, and there are certain clubs that just cater to this style of music.

This cd is full of jazz/funk/hip-hop tracks, to get your night started or to end your night.

“Voices”, “Climb”, “Nightbreak”, “Midnight Downtown”, “No Secret Agent”, “Spunky”, & “Welcome To The Party”, will have your head nodding, with the mixture of Funk, Jazz and hip/hop beats.

“Heading Wes”, “City Lights”, “Warm Night Ocean Breeze”, “Hypnotocracy”, & “Blessed Rain”, will slow the groove down just a little bit so you can cool off

I really like this cd and I can’t wait till summertime when I can cruise up Westheimer with the top down and blast this cd in stereo!
